🏀Dunks, Dinos & Drama

A great weekend, coming in hot.

Check that forecast. For our New-to-MN friends, we call this Fool’s Spring. Winter will absolutely circle back, but that’s next week’s problem. This week, skip the Menards fertilizer aisle, grab a light jacket and get you some Vitamin D… while supplies last.

Cheers

Your Weekend Forecast

Guys & Dolls

ongoing

Local community dinner theater putting on a classic musical with a crowd of familiar faces onstage and in the pit. You’ll hear show tunes, see dance numbers, and watch characters gamble, scheme and fall in and out of love in a story that’s been around for decades. It’s the kind of production where a few lines make you smile and you’re glad you took a seat at a hometown stage.

Jurassic Quest

3/6 - 3/8

It’s a wandering dinosaur exhibit with tons of life-size, realistically detailed prehistoric creatures and a bunch of hands-on stuff for kids. You can poke around giant T-rexs and Triceratops, dig for fossils, check out baby dinos, take rides, and mess with inflatables and other activities.

Mrs. Doubtfire

3/17 - 3/22

It’s a theatrical retelling of the story about a dad who’ll go to absurd lengths to stay close to his kids, decked out as someone completely different and causing chaos and laughs. This version mixes music, humor, and heart as the characters figure out what family really means.

Jerry Seinfeld

3/21

It’s an evening of stand-up with one of the folks who made observational comedy a thing, mixing sharp takes on everyday life with decades of stage experience. Expect material that digs into the little thoughts we all have but don’t voice out loud.

Peter McPoland

3/7

The show brings a relaxed night of music from an artist known for blending indie, folk and alternative sounds with honest, story-driven songwriting and homespun detail. His set tends to shift from quiet, melodic moments to more energetic, full-band sections, all shaped by his introspective lyrics and dynamic performance style.

Dinner at Downtowner Woodfire Grill is wood-fired comfort with a neighborhood feel. The open kitchen lets you watch flames kiss steaks, pizzas, and chops, and the atmosphere stays warm without ever feeling stiff. A crowd favorite is the wood-fired ribeye with charred edges and a rich, smoky depth that doesn’t hide behind sauce. The pizzas are crisp and blistered, the salads fresh, and every dish comes with that subtle campfire touch you didn’t know you needed until you taste it.

Hanging out at Splatter Paints means doing something a little different after dinner with paint bottles in hand instead of drinks in yours. You suit up with protective gear, step into a black-lit room, and let creativity take over as you splatter neon paint onto your canvas—and pretty much anywhere else you want. It’s playful and messy in the best way, totally unstructured, and ends with a one-of-a-kind piece of art you get to take home, perfect for sparking laughs and a few good memories.

From season openers to high-stakes matchups, there’s something on the schedule for every kind of fan ready to cheer on the home team.
